GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Historic St. Luke's Church, c. 1632, affectionately known as "the Old Brick", is the "Oldest surviving church of English foundation in America" and the only original Gothic church in the USA. It is a national historic landmark, with the oldest legible gravestone dating to 1767. Originally an Anglican church, after the Revolutionary War it was consecrated Episcopal. British Soldiers and Confederates camped under our great oaks, including the infamous British Lt. Twilight Tours

Behind the iron gates of St. Luke’s Memorial Park, the cemetery rests among the historic gardens. Hidden within the aged granite and marble lies a roadmap of Victorian ideals and local lore. As the light wans across the 17th century bricks, stay awhile and listen to the stories of a bygone era, and discover the cryptic symbols etched across weathered tombs. Twilight Tours are hosted at sunset at Historic St. Luke’s Church. Tours must be scheduled in advance with a minimum one week notice. $15 per person.
