Rte 3, 38 miles east of Fredericksburg, VA to county Rte 204.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Located not far from the Potomac River is this historic site. A Memorial House was built near the spot in 1930. Today there is a colonial farm where costumed interpreters recreate the sights, sounds and smells of 18th century plantation life. Tours of the memorial house, the colonial kitchen, spinning shop and the farm buildings are available.
PARKING: 3 wheelchair accessible parking spaces.
TYPES OF PATHS: Paths are brick, concrete, compacted crushed oyster shell and gravel. Some steep grades. Paths are 300 yards long.
ENTRANCE: Visitor center. Glass entry doors, 32 in. wide, easily open out with clearly marked pull bar handle located 37 in. above floor.
PUBLIC REST ROOMS: At visitor center. Doors are 35 in. wide, open out. Turns to enter. Accessible stalls have 32 in. wide doors opening out and handrails. Wheelchair accessible toilet is 19 inches high with room for a lateral transfer. Sink height is 25 and 31 in. Accessible stall checked regularly for obstructions. Rest rooms are identified by a raised figure with pants or skirt on door to designate men or women.

For guests with hearing disabilities, there is a 14 minute captioned video.
For guests with visual disabilities, signs with contrasting background printed on a non-glossy surface.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE FACILITIES: At picnic grounds. 15 tables for customers in wheelchairs. Table height 32 in.
GIFT SHOP: Aisles 32 in. wide. Counters 33 in. high. Clerks assist customers with special needs. Aisles clear of temporary displays.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Admission fee. Open 9-5 daily, except Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day. Gift Shop accepts cash, checks, MC and V.
