GENERAL DESCRIPTION:  Visitors will discover  stunning exhibitions, creative programs, and an engaging interactive center for all ages.  Tours, gallery talks, family days, classes and camps are part of the Art Museum’s regular programming.  Museum features a permanent collection of nineteenth and twentieth century American Art, decorative arts, and works by Southern artists, and presents exhibitions of both regional and national significance.

PARKING:  In adjoining parking garage.  Nearby ramps well marked.

TYPES OF PATHS TO OR AROUND ATTRACTION:  Carpet over cement walkways accessible to persons with mobility disabilities.

ENTRANCE:  Located first and second floors. 

PUBLIC REST ROOMS:  At individual attractions.  Turns to enter.  Accessible stalls.  Handrails.  19 in. toilet seat height.  Accessible stall checked regularly for obstructions.  Wrist blade faucets.  Lowered towel racks and accessories.  Rest rooms are identified by a raised figure with pants or skirt on door to designate men or women.

ELEVATOR:  Serves all levels.  Buttons in braille, recessed, raised.

PUBLIC TELEPHONE:  Accessible phone located in first floor Atrium.  Numbers in braille, recessed, raised.

SPECIAL SERVICES:
For guests with visual disabilities, there are hands-on exhibits such as Art Venture Family Interactive Center.  Designed to be fully accessible, engaging to individuals with sight, hearing and other physical challenges as well as visitors with developmental disabilities.  Signs in large print, with contrasting background, printed on a non-glossy surface/mixed.

GIFT SHOP:  Aisles 34-48 in. wide.  Height of counters 24 in. to bottom of glass, 38 in. from floor to top of counter.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  Accepted credit cards: V,  MC,  AE and DS.  Gallery hours are Tu-Sat, 10  - 5  and Sun, 1  - 5 .
