Front Royal is in Warren County in the northern Shenandoah Valley region of Virginia. The Town of Front Royal is situated near the junction of the North Fork and the South Fork of the Shenandoah River. Front Royal has been designated as the "Canoe Capital of Virginia." It is also the north entrance to Shenandoah National Park via the famous Skyline Drive. Visitors can enjoy canoeing and kayaking on the Shenandoah Valley River and visit numerous Civil War attractions in the region
