DIRECTIONS: From east/northeast:  I-64 W exit 107 to Rte 151 S, turn left.  Go 14.2 miles to Rte 664, turn right - entrance is 4.5 miles.  From west/northwest:  I-81 to I-64 E, exit 99.  Take Rte 250 E to Rte. 151 S, turn right.  Go 14.2 miles to Rte 664 turn right - entrance is 4.5 miles.

GENERAL DISCRIPTION: Wintergreen Resort is a four-season mountain retreat on the eastern slopes of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Nelson County. This beautiful hideaway is the ultimate vacation and conference spot, with 45 holes of championship golf; seasonal skiing, snowboarding and snowtubing; an award-winning tennis program; a full-service, destination spa; 40,000 square feet of meeting and event space; charming lodging; and a variety of enticing dining options.

PARKING:  1 designated accessible parking space located in front of Mountain Inn.  Space 8 ft. wide.  Accessible aisle 6 ft. wide.

ENTRANCE:   At Mountain Inn. 7 exterior steps, each 6 in. high.  Handrails on left/right.  Automatic doors.  Steps inside lobby, at entry.  Each step 2 1/2 in. high.  Handrails on left/right.

FACILITIES:  Signage printed in contrasting colors with raised and recessed lettering.  Non-smoking rooms available.

PUBLIC REST ROOMS:  In Mountain Inn.  Doors open in.  Turns to enter.  Accessible stalls.  19 in. toilet seat height, 8 in. between commode and wall.  Sink height 34 in.  Wrapped pipes.  Accessible stall checked regularly for obstructions.

ELEVATOR:  In Mountain Inn.  Wheelchair accessible elevator.  Door width 35 in.  Control buttons 40 in. high.  Elevator car is 35 in. by 49 in. 

ACCOMMODATIONS:  6 wheelchair accessible rooms in Mountain Inn, each with 1 queen-size bed on a frame with no obstruction beneath.  60 inch circular clearspace in room.  Sill at bathroom door 1 in. high.  Grab bar in tub.  Room numbers in braille with raised markings.  Flashing light smoke alarm, TTY and phone flasher available upon request.  

RESTAURANT: All 4 restaurants, The Copper Mine Bistro, Devils Grill, The Edge, and Stoney Creek Bar & Grill, have tables for guests in wheelchairs.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Wintergreen is a year-round resort with a wide variety of accommodations and activities. The Adventure Center has indoor gaming including air hockey, pool tables, wii and a mechanical bull; outdoor activities including bungee trampoline, climbing tower miniature golf. There is a Zip Line, archery, winter and summer tubing in The Plunge, Virginia's largest tubing park, and Ridgely's Fun Park with movies, lawn games, campfires and storytelling with s'mores, and a gentle hill for tubing and sledding in the winter.

Studio and lodge guest rooms offer a "hotel-like" experience. These will be found in the Mountain Inn and two adjacent buildings close to the Mountain Inn shops and restaurants and ski slopes. Rooms have mini fridge, small stove, coffee maker, toaster, and wireless internet access.

Condominiums range from 1-5 bedrooms and feature all the comforts of an apartment with a living room with fireplace, complete kitchen, and washer and dryer. Houses range from 3-6 bedrooms and feature all the comforts of home with a kitchen with full-size refrigerator, stove, coffee maker, toaster, washer and dryer, etc. The exclusive properties range from 7-9 bedrooms and feature all the comforts of home, and they also have multiple living areas for guests to enjoy.

Wintergreen Adaptive Sports provides outdoor sports and recreational opportunities for persons with disabilities. They offer adaptive instruction in alpine skiing, snowboarding, kayaking, canoeing. and holds an adaptive golf clinic.
