DIRECTIONS: I-95, Exit 78, south 1.5 miles on Boulevard to museum at Boulevard and Grove.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:  Five thousand years of artistic achievement are represented in galleries, from ancient Greece to modern times. Outstanding features include the Mellon collections of Sporting Art, French Impressionism, Post-Impressionism; the Lewis collections of Art Nouveau, Arts & Crafts, Art Deco and Modern decorative arts, Modern and Contemporary art; Russian imperial Easter eggs by Fabergé; the Gans collection of English silver; European and American painting masterpieces; Ancient, Classical and Egyptian art; and one of the world's leading collections of the art of India, Nepal and Tibet.

PARKING:  6 wheelchair accessible parking spaces, and 2 wheelchair accessible spaces with 96 inch access aisles.

TYPES OF PATHS:  Accessible paved, brick paths.

ENTRANCE:  From main parking lot.  Glass entry doors, 32 in. wide, easily open out with clearly marked vertical pull handle located 36 in. above floor.   

PUBLIC REST ROOMS:  Level I near cafe, west wing of levels III and IV.  Doors 32 in. wide, open in.  Turns to enter.  Accessible stalls have 30 in. wide doors opening out, handrails.  19 in. toilet seat height, and 12 in. between commode and wall (Level III has 36 in.).  Sink height is 30 in.  Accessible stall checked regularly for obstructions.  Rest rooms are identified by a raised figure with pants or skirt on door to designate men or women.

ELEVATOR:  Wheelchair accessible elevator with sound indicator.  Interior of car is 44 in. by 67 in.

PUBLIC TELEPHONE:  Wheelchair accessible phones.  Amplified phones.

SPECIAL SERVICES:
For guests with hearing disabilities, there are written scripts for special exhibit audio cassette tours. 

For guests with visual disabilities, there are audio cassettes and portable tape recorders for special exhibits, and guests may tour exhibits using headphones and a recording.  Signs printed on non-glossy surface. 

For guests with mobility disabilities, drinking fountains are lowered.

FOOD AND BEVERAGE FACILITIES:  18 tables in Cafe. 

GIFT SHOP:  Aisles 30-48 in. wide.  Counters 42 in. high.  Clerks to assist customers with special needs.  Aisles clear of temporary displays.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  Accepted credit cards V and MC.
Suggested donation-$5.  Some exhibitions have a separate admission fee.  Open 11-5 Tu-Sun, and 11-8 on Th.  Non-smoking area available.
