DIRECTIONS: 10,000 acre flood control project with parks in Henry, Franklin & Patrick Counties, managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:  Parks with camping, picnicking, swimming, boat launching facilities in Henry, Franklin and Patrick Counties.

PARKING:  25 designated accessible parking spaces located all over park.  Parking space 10 - 15 ft. wide.  Accessible aisle 3 ft. wide.  Nearby ramps are well marked. 

TYPES OF PATHS TO OR AROUND PARK/ATTRACTION:  Sidewalks and gravel.  Paths are accessible to guests with mobility disabilities.  Paths/trails do have steep grades which would require assistance for persons in wheelchairs.  Trails 300 ft. long.

ENTRANCE TO VISITOR CENTER:   Ramps provided.  Automatic doors. 

PUBLIC REST ROOMS:  Located Visitor Assistance Center.  Available without steps.  Doors are 35 in. wide, open in/out.  No turns to enter.  Accessible stalls have 32 in. wide doors opening in/out, and handrails.  18  in. toilet seat height.  9 in. between commode and wall.  Sink height 34 in.  Accessible stall checked regularly for obstructions.  Unisex or companion assisted rest rooms available.  Rest rooms identified by raised figures with pants or skirt on the door to designate men or women.

PICNIC AREAS:  Located in all park areas.  2 tables per area for guests in wheelchairs, tables 29 in. high.  Tables located at the shelters.  48 in. aisles between the tables.  Paths to and within the picnic areas are asphalt, packed gravel, and concrete.  Covered shelters.

CAMPGROUND:
TYPES OF PATHS TO OR AROUND CAMPGROUND:  Sidewalk and gravel.  There are trails accessible to persons with mobility disabilities.  The paths do have steep grades which would require assistance for persons in wheelchairs.

BATH HOUSE/REST ROOMS:  Located in each park area.  Some areas are not accessible to persons in wheelchairs.  Available without steps.  Doors open out.  Turns must be made to enter.  Accessible stalls have 36 in. wide doors opening out and handrails.  19 in. toilet seat height, and 9 in. between commode and wall.  Sink height is 34 in.  Accessible stall checked regularly for obstructions.  Roll-in shower available.  Unisex or companion assisted rest rooms available.  Rest rooms identified by raised figures with pants or skirt on the door to designate men or women.

DESCRIPTION OF ACTUAL CAMP SITE:  Camping spaces have electrical hook-up and water. Personnel are available to assist with hook-up.  Pull thru sites are available.

SPECIAL SERVICES:
For guests with visual disabilities:  Signs in braille, large print, with contrasting background color, printed on a non-glossy surface.    

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  Accepted credit cards: V,  MC  and DS.  For walk ins without reservations, V and MC accepted only.  Brochures will be sent regarding fees, season and hours of operation, etc.
